Birth is the beauty that surrounds & encompasses all living

This path is my calling, and entails my natural abilities to care for birthing women.

I am confident that I offer my best abilities in fulfillment of my role and responsibilities as a;

Intern Midwife with the Midwives College of Utah

Certified Birth Assistant through the American Association of Birth Centers

Certified Advance Life Support in Obstetrics

Certified Medical Assistant

Lactation Consultant

Neonatal Resuscitation Care Provider

My formative days were shaped in the womb of my mother, as she cared for birthing women in the twins and triplets unit of Phoenix Indian hospital. I believe it was the influence of my mothers actions, emotions, and speaking that helped shape my care for birthing women. Throughout my young life I walked alongside my mother visiting birthing families, I heard the numerous expressions and cries of women bridging life earth-side.

I felt empathy for the fragility of life and commitment to a life long walk of caring for birthing women.

I am now fulfilling my BS & MSM in the Science of Midwifery.

I draw upon the influence and inspiration of nature as my foundation for understanding root causes in the birthing process, while discussing evidence based research with entrusted mentors and mothers. Natural processes are at the forefront of my honor, whilst continuously practicing medical skills as a form of responsible action in protection and the cases of emergencies.

My hope is that the Birthing women of today and the next generations to come embody the ability to honor, trust, and love their bodies, as a gift of life to be cherished with respect and reverence.

I believe our current life circumstances, environment, physiological and psychological processes, forces seen and unseen, and the women who came before us, all affect the birthing process. Therefore there is no set right and wrong way to birth. I embrace choice and support.

Warmly,

Bailey Sonora
